Safety Equipment

A safety programme is vital to the safety of any employee that is working from height or in confined spaces. Employers are responsible for providing the necessary safety equipment and procedures to carry out any work in accordance with the latest HSE Legislation as detailed in the HSE Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992 and the Work At Heights Regulations 2005, which came into effect in April 2005. Updates to all regulations can be found on  As an employer it is your responsiblity to ensure the safety of all employees, failure to so can result in prosecution.

Falls from height are the most frequent cause of fatal injury and the second most frequent cause of major injury to employees, accounting for 15% of all such injuries. All industries are exposed to the risks presented by this hazard although the level if occurances varies considerably.

Crane and Lifting Services Ltd can provide safety gear to suit each industry including safety harnesses, confined space harnesses, fall arrest systems, rope access equipment and guard rails amongst them. Additionally we can provide training to staff to ensure correct usage, carry out inspections of all equipment prior to use in accordance to all HSE Legislation and periodically during the life of the equipment, ensuring that all regulations are met and adhered to.
