SAFETY EQUIPMENT

A safety programme is vital to the safety of any employee working from height. Employers are responsible for providing the necessary safety equipment and procedures to carry out work in accordance with the latest HSE legislation, as detailed in the HSE Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992 and the Work at Height Regulations 2005, which came into effect on 6th April 2005.

Falls from height are the most frequent cause of fatal injury and the second most frequent cause of major injury to employees, accounting for 15% of all such injuries. All industries are exposed to the risks presented by this hazard although the level of occurrences varies considerably.

Crane and Lifting Services Ltd are able to ensure that Clients employees work at height safely and efficiently, to eliminate risk of falling caused by using unsuitable equipment and to advise employees on how to avoid injury. This also protects our Clients from litigation.
